As a component to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency building model of the newly built and commissioned Blue Camel Solar Assembly Plant and Renewable Energy Training Academy in Kaduna State, it was set to be a paradigm in the off-grid solar space in Nigeria to provide and also serve as a demonstration of the practicality of off-grid solar PV systems to the prospective participating trainees in the Renewable Energy Training Academy. The first phase of the project is a 15.39kWp ground mount off-grid solar system and the second phase is the development of 2.0MW off-grid solar mini grid system, which will be distributed to neighbouring factories. The 15.39kWp system services the entire facility, which includes lighting, cooling systems and computing and all other electronic devices.
